I was raised in Ohio but always dreamed of the sea. When
I was 8 years old I had a bank in my room that I was
saving my change to one day buy my first boat. Since I
can remember I have fished for Bluegills to Bass in
Ohio. We had a pond out back that I could fish in every
day.
After
School I joined the US Coast Guard with guaranteed
Electronic training. While in the Coast Guard I learned
how to fix Electronics used on the Coast Guard Fleet
including VHF Radios to fathometers, single side bands,
loran units and more. While at sea on the Coast Guard
Cutter Taney I experienced Dolphin fishing for the first
time. What a blast. From that point on I was focused on
Salt Water Fishing..
Since 1978 I have traveled
Florida in sales of Electronic products both software
and hardware. I made my home in Lighthouse Point Florida
due to my love of fishing. In Lighthouse Point most
homes are canal front with ocean access.
To afford my Fishing
addiction I have owned since the early 80’s an extra
rental property or two. I have mostly bought fixer
uppers and did them myself with some subcontractors when
needed. I would only keep them a year or two then resell
them at a profit. I did quite well at this.
In 1999 I started
investing in the lower Keys. I would rent them out part
of the year and enjoy the Florida Keys on weekends and
vacations when possible. My wife Cindy and I fell in
Love with the Keys Lifestyle. So in 2007 our daughter
went off to college and we moved full time to our home
on Little Torch Key.
I have had a Captains
License since 1995 and have just gone thru the upgrade
process for a 100 ton Masters License and received it.
With my Boating experience
and my Real Estate experience, I have decided to share
my wealth of knowledge as a consultant to purchase and
sell waterfront properties in the Florida Keys. Since
beginning this new phase of my life I have been
successful in helping many new residents to enjoy the
benefits of owning Real Estate in the Florida Keys.
These include fishing to catching Lobsters even trapping
Stone Crabs during the various seasons here in the Keys.
Did I mention Scuba Diving also?
